With BUSlink's USB 2.0 you get a dramatic performance increase over the standard USB 1.1. Whereas USB 1.1 is only 12Mbits/s, the new USB 2.0 Hi-Speed specification used by BUSlink USB 2.0 runs at up to 480Mbits/s. USB, standing for "Universal Serial Bus", allows you to attach multiple peripheral devices simultaneously with automatic device detection and installation. Since USB 2.0 Hi-Speed is an evolution of the existing USB 1.1 specification, it is fully forward and backward compatible with current USB systems and peripherals. Even with the dramatically increased speeds, it works with existing cables and connectors. In other words, consumers will have the benefit of using devices they already have, so their investments are protected.
